The CRREW
Community Relief and Rebuilding through Education and Wellness
(CRREW) is a group of holistic practitioners and supporters, formed in the aftermath of 9/11 to mitigate the traumatic effects of the event. CRREW has offered direct services, community workshops and trainings to empower people using self-care tools. The backbone of
CRREW has been the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association's five point ear acupuncture protocol.
CRREW has remained active serving the NYC area, other areas impacted by 9/11 and people impacted by hurricanes in Louisiana.
CRREW has worked with many groups including the Red Cross, NOVA, Safe Horizon, Mt Sinai WTC Program, St Vincent's Hospital: WTC Healing Services and scores of community based groups.
CRREW is currently reaching out to people and communities impacted by the recent storm/ TROPICAL STORM Sandy.
We welcome practitioners with a varied background familiar with different modalities.
We also welcome suggestions of venues you would like us to reach out to and we will do our best to fulfill your request.
Please fill out the form ON OUR CONTACT PAGE if you want to be contacted regarding programs or volunteering in your area with CRREW or if you would like further information Thanks

Happy New Year!
CRREW has been steadily offering acupuncture, massage and other bodywork at sites that have been directly impacted as well as a site in Staten Island in St. George and a community center on the Lower East Side.
Please let us know if and when you may still have time. Practitioners from different groups are planning to do some wellness afternoons at some of the sites on weekends. Please let us know if this would interest you and if you would like to work with individuals or with small groups. Space is limited so we need to plan ahead.
We do need practitioners to offer their time on Staten Island on Tuesdays from 12-5 and be part of the team at the University Settlement Tues. 6-9 PM at 273 Bowery, at Houston, behind the Whole Foods.
We are also now set up that if any one would like to make a financial contribution, we have a fiscal agent that can receive checks on our behalf. As well we have a 'donate' button on the www.crrew.org webpage. Contributions made there are not tax deductible.
Thanks you for any consideration of time and skills you may donate now or in the future!
